Biography

Born in Sleaford in 1963 I grew up in Northorpe and Thurlby attending Thurlby Primary School and Bourne Secondary Modern as it was then known. Summer holidays were spent working on the farm

I joined Mirrlees Blackstone (Stamford) Ltd as a Technician Apprentice and spent 13 years there. During my time I gained a Degree in Production Engineering at Coventry University and a Fellowship in Manufacturing Management at Cranfield School on Management.

I trained as a Home Inspector and Domestic Energy Assessor in 2006 and am licensed and accredited with the Building Research Establishment and Elmurst Energy as well as being a member of the Residential Property Surveyors Association.

I have been working with BRE, ABBE and the goverment to improve the quality of EPC's and to develop a new qualification of Home Energy Advisor, for existing DEA's, that can be used with the coalitions Green Deal.
