EPC Landlords

The latest stage of the Governments implementation of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive, for residential property, comes into effect on 1st October 2008.  An Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) will be required whenever a building in the social or private rented sectors is let to a new tenant.

To help to clarify the regulations the Government has produced a guide entitled “Energy performance certificates for dwellings in the social and private rented sectors: A guide for landlords”. A copy dan be downloaded here.

HIP Online Ltd have several Councils and Housing Associations amongst it's customers and we are working with them on developing Energy Efficiency Policies as well as undertaking their EPC requirements. There is a trend towards offering housing energy serveys and advice to tennants.
